A wonderful place of learning, imagination, and growing together through interactive play.
St. George Children's Museum is geared towards children that love to learn and get creative. The museum strives to inspire children and families to grow together. The museum is an incredible place to play, explore, imagine, and learn. The unique exhibits here allow for families in particular to interact, play and learn about the fascinating world around them. Some exhibit rooms include the Lending Library, where visitors can leave a book and take a book. There is a Kids at Work exhibit, where children can "work" on the farm and learn how food gets from the farm to the table. In the Transportation Room, children can have the opportunity to become a pilot or an auto mechanic, and the grocery store allows kids to practice shopping and buying groceries. There is a bank, government office, and theater for kids to get imaginative in, as well. The lower floor includes a Prehistoric Place and a magic castle where young ones can battle dragons and dress up in royal attire. In the desert land, kids can learn all about animals and desert plants. The sports and exercise room allows for play and healthy activities. There is also an art room, a science discovery room, an under the sea portion, and more.
Parents are encouraged to stay with their children, and children need to be dressed appropriately. Strollers are highly discouraged as the room available may be limited. No food or drink is allowed in, except for water. Monday is a members-only day, Tuesday and Wednesday the museum is closed, and Thursday through Saturday the hours are from 10 am to 6 pm. On Sundays, the museum is open from 10 am to 3 pm. The children's museum hosts events, activities, music lessons, and storytimes for little ones to enjoy. The museum encourages unity, play, imagination, and community.
