The Space Center in Houston Texas opened in 1992. It is located at 1601 NASA Parkway Huston. Is a non-profit organization that focuses on educating the public. The center is a 250,000-square-foot complex. The complex includes a museum, The museum displays over 400 artifacts, activities, film events, and, more. Exhibits include permanent exhibits along with traveling exhibits. The museum has the largest collection of moon rocks. Guest can explore the behind scene of NASA. exhibits include Space-x Falcon 9 Rocket. Starship Gallery, multiple space crafts. Astronaut Gallery contains collections of Space suites. The Independence Plaza hosts replica space shuttles. Mission Mars exhibit teaches about living on Mars. Learn of the triumphs of Human Space explorations, and experience life on the International Space Station. NASA tram tour allows guests to tour special areas of the center. Tour the astronaut training facilities, eat lunch with an Astronaut and hear first-hand stories. Experience the Space export tour, learn of the past present, and future of space, and offers one-of-a-kind artifacts. The level 9 tour is a VIP experience of behind the scenes of NASA and, more. Other attractions include films, and live presentations, and special events. Events include Holiday lights, Astrounants Experiences, family campout, and more.
The Center is ADA accessible to everyone. Accommodations include a certified autism center, a mother's room, accessible parking and restrooms, lifts for the exhibits, ground-level entrances, complimentary wheelchairs. Trained service animals are allowed. American Sign Language interpreters can be provided with a two-week advanced notice. Tactile exhibits allow for a unique learning opportunity.
Helpful information of visitors, Covid-19 restrictions are in effect. Timed ticket reservation slots are required. Parking is an additional fee. Tickets and parking passes can be purchased online before arriving. Group rates are available. Fees help fund daily operation centers educational programs and hands-on exhibits, activities, and films. Tickets are required. Children under three years are free. Children from four to eleven are $24.99. Adults twelve and older are $22.95 seniors qualify for senior discounts. A gift shop is located on-site. Space Trader Gift Shop offers a variety of apparel, toys, novelties souvenir. The gift shop is open from 10 am to 5 pm, Mondays through Friday. Saturdays and Sundays the shop is open from 10 am to 6 pm.
