The Science Museum of Minnesota has been around since 1907 and is one of Minnesota's most popular museums. This museum hosts hundreds of thousands of people annually and is staffed by over 300 employees plus hundreds of volunteers. The Science Museum of Minnesota focuses on topics such as technology, natural history, physical science, and mathematics education. There is a five-story tall astronaut that is also an interactive exhibit. On the top level, you can project your own face on the astronaut's helmet. In the dinosaurs and fossils gallery, visitors can see hundreds of fossils, amber, petrified wood, and dinosaur bones. Math concepts such as ratio, proportion, fractions, and geometry are also found in their interactive exhibits.
The Science Museum is open from Sunday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Admission rates range between $9.95 and $34.90 per person, and all tickets must be purchased online.
