Rosamond Gifford Zoo is located on the west side of Syracuse, New York. Animals that the zoo cares for include alpaca llamas, golden lion tamarins, two-toed sloths, red pandas, snow leopards, Eurasian eagle owls, mandarin ducks, saker falcons, river otters, porcupines, and more. They also look after various snakes, turtles, and other reptiles, plus colorful dart frogs. You can also stop by the domestic animal barn, aquarium exhibit, and walk along the wildlife trail during your visit.
This zoo is open daily (except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day) from 10 am to 4:30 pm. Admission rates are very affordable at less than $10 for adults. If you visit during the holiday season, they have after-hours holiday night events on Fridays and Saturdays. Enjoy the festive light displays, meet with Santa, have s'mores around the fire pits, and sing with live carolers.
