Green Lakes State Park is located just east of Interstate 481 in Fayetteville, New York. It features a golf course, two lakes, cabins and campgrounds, playgrounds, and lots of space to enjoy the great outdoors. The Round and Green Lakes are surrounded by forests and provide kayak rentals for visitors. Bird enthusiasts can expect to see eastern bluebirds, cedar waxwings, eastern towhees, dark-eyed juncos, various woodpeckers, and more feathered friends that are commonly found at the park.
This state park is open year-round from sunrise to sunset and the campgrounds are open annually from the end of May through early October. There are 7 cabins and 145 campsites (that accommodate up to 6 people per site) available to rent. Please note that personal watercraft are prohibited. Due to the nature of these lakes, you must rent their kayaks if you want to go out on the water. Fishing is available on Green Lake outside of the swimming zone.
