Enjoy hiking through this scenic state park in Pennsylvania.
Ricketts Glen State Park is located in northeastern Pennsylvania. It encompasses nearly 14,000 acres and is a magnificent place that is always worth seeing. Visitors enjoy camping, hiking, picnicking, fishing, horseback riding, hunting, and swimming here during the summer. Don't let the winter scare you away; you can also enjoy ice fishing, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling at Ricketts Glen.
The DCNR (Department of Conservation and Natural Resources) named Ricketts Glen one of the "25 must-see Pennsylvania State Parks". Ricketts Glen is such a great place to visit because of its 22 natural waterfalls. The largest waterfall is Ganoga Falls, which is over 90 feet high. There are many trails and areas to visit and explore. Stop by the visitor center to familiarize yourself with the places you can see. Be prepared with good hiking boots because the trails are often slippery. Consider driving down to Ricketts Glen State Park to discover even more natural beauty before or after a scenic road trip through upstate New York.
