One of the most scenic areas in Pennsylvania
Ricketts Glen State Park is located in northern Pennsylvania and sits on 13,193 acres and is really a site to see. It has everything you could want in an outdoor adventure: Camping, hiking, picnicking, fishing, horseback riding, hunting and swimming during the summer months and in the winter, visitors can enjoy ice fishing, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.
The DCNR (Department of Conservation and Natural Resources) named Ricketts Glen one of the "25 must see Pennsylvania State Parks". What makes Ricketts Glen such a great place to visit is the 22 natural waterfalls, with the largest being the 94 foot Ganoga Falls.
There are many trails and areas to visit and explore. Please check with the visitor center or state park site for any updates on your visit. Also, please make sure to wear appropriate gripping shoes as the trails near the falls can get wet and slippery.
