Explore the geologic wonder that is Clark Reservation State Park.
Clark Reservation State Park is located just east of I-81 outside of Syracuse, New York. The area's natural features include rugged cliffs, rocky outcrops, woodlands, meadows, a wetland, and a glacial basin lake. There are five different hiking trails available, including the breathtaking cliff trail. Bring your binoculars and observe the cedar waxwings, kingfishers, woodpeckers, and other feathered friends as you explore the park. Anglers can expect to catch pickerel, bullheads, or sunfish.
Their on-site nature center is open seasonally from mid-May through Labor Day. If you are planning a family reunion or other large gathering, you can call and reserve one of their pavilions. The largest pavilion can accommodate up to 100 people. Pavilions are available for rent from mid-May through Columbus Day between 9 AM and sunset. Whether you need a place to hike or want to have a relaxing picnic, Clark Reservation State Park has you covered.
