Soak in one of the best natural geothermal pools in the USA.
The Rocky Canyon Hot Springs is situated within the Boise National Forest. These primitive Idaho hot springs are the epitome of relaxation. Rocky Canyon Hot Springs becomes warmer the higher up the pools are, so you are welcome to find the one that feels just right. Keep in mind that you will have to cross a short river to gain access to Rocky Canyon Hot Springs, so wear water-resistant footwear while heading up here. Crossing the river is easiest to do in the summer, but it is still doable at certain points in the fall or late spring.
You could easily have the hot springs all to yourself when you pay a visit. Cell phone service is spotty, so bring a GPS or map with you to avoid getting lost. There are primitive campsites near the springs if you want to extend your stay. Anyone visiting southwestern Idaho should consider stopping by the Rocky Canyon Hot Springs.
