The Thompson Falls State Recreation Area is located in northwestern Montana (about three hours southwest of Glacier National Park). Various outdoor recreation activities such as hiking, boating, fishing, camping, and bird watching are available here. This park encompasses 36 acres and features a mature pine forest, 18 campsites, a fishing pond, hiking trails, fire pits, and a picnic shelter.
The campsites can accommodate trailers that are up to 30 feet long, and camping is available seasonally from late April through October. Nightly rates for campsites range from $4 to $34 depending on the time of year and type of accommodations you want. If you're traveling through northern Montana, this is a great place to enjoy an outing or experience and unforgettable camping trip with friends and family. Leashed pets are also allowed at Thompson Falls Park, so don't hesitate to bring your furry friends along for the ride.
