Lone Pine State Park is located in Kalispell, Montana. It covers around 270-acres of stunning natural forest landscapes that look over Flathead Valley. The park measures 2959 ft to 3644 feet in elevation. Lone Pine State Park is open year-round, however, some amenities may be offered seasonally only. This park is home to 7.5 miles of gorgeous recreational outdoor trails. Trails are used for hiking, biking, horseback riding, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, archery, and more. The park has many amenities, some of which include ADA accessible areas, and clean bathrooms. Lone Pine State Park has campgrounds for tents and RV's, picnic areas with shelters, bbq grills, firepits, water, equipment rentals, and much more. Entrance to the park requires a reasonable fee per vehicle, and those who purchase the pass with their registration along with current residents enter for low to no cost at all. Located at the entrance of the park are the visitor center and gift shop, which are open from Wednesday to Saturday from 10 am 3 pm. Helpful information about the park and surrounding area maps are great resources for all guests. The gift shop has fantastic souvenirs for everyone. The visitor center holds spacious meeting rooms, which are available for rent. Workshops with educational activities are often sponsored here at the visitor center, and they are offered for a variety of age groups. The large conference room has vast wrapping decks that surround the building and shows beautiful vistas with great space for gathering in groups. Inside the center, visitors are able to walk through the museum's self interpretive exhibits, all while taking walking tours to learn about the wildlife forest ecology found here.
