Lone Pine State Park is located in Kalispell, Montana. It encompasses about 270-acres of stunning natural forest landscapes overlooking the Flathead Valley. The park measures 2,959 ft to 3,644 feet in elevation. Lone Pine State Park is open year-round; however, some amenities are only offered seasonally. This park is home to 7.5 miles of gorgeous recreational outdoor trails that are perfect for hikers, bikers, horseback riders, snowshoers, cross-country skiers, and more. The park has many amenities, some of which include ADA-accessible areas, and clean bathrooms.
Lone Pine State Park has campgrounds for tents and RVs. Guests can also take advantage of the sheltered picnic areas, bbq grills, fire pits, water, and recreational equipment rentals. Entrance to the park requires a small fee and there is a visitor center and gift shop right as you enter. The visitor center is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 am 3 pm. Helpful information about the park and surrounding area maps are among the resources available for all guests. Workshops and educational activities are often sponsored here at the visitor center, and they are offered for a variety of age groups. Inside the center, visitors are able to walk through the museum's self-interpretive exhibits, all while learning about the wildlife and forest ecology of the region.
