Enjoy watersports at Wallowa Lake in eastern Oregon.
Wallowa Lake State Park is located in northeastern Oregon. This is an ideal spot to go fishing, hiking, camping, picnicking, boating, and spending time on the beach. A boat ramp, kayak launch, fish cleaning station, swimming area, and off-leash dog park are located right by the lake. Please note that there are no lifeguards on duty, so all visitors must swim at their own risk. It is strongly recommended to wear a life jacket because the water remains cold year-round and there are steep drop-offs in certain areas of the lake. This state park is pet-friendly; however, owners must keep their pets on a leash and never leave them unattended. Mule deer and other wildlife are commonly seen here, so keep your distance and do not attempt to feed any of the wildlife.
Wallowa Lake State Park is open year-round from sunrise to sunset. Camping reservations can be made up to six months in advance. All guests must check in after 4 pm and check out by 1 pm on their last day. They offer over 100 full hookup RV sites, over 80 tent campsites, and two yurts. Seasonal amenities include hot showers, flush toilets, and an RV dump station. If you are looking for a place to camp in Oregon, consider visiting Wallowa Lake State Park.
