Discover Pennsylvania's shoreline at Lake Erie.
This sandy peninsula is located in northwestern Pennsylvania on the shores of Lake Erie. The park is great for family outings and is open year-round. Outdoor recreational activities you can do at the state park include boating, surfing, swimming, fishing, and hiking. Many migrating birds stop here due to this region's various landscapes and ecosystems, so birding is another activity to do while you're here. Stop by the environmental center to learn more about the historical significance and natural habitat of Presque Isle.
This state park is open daily from 5 am to sunset. Camping accommodations are available nearby; however, the state park is a day-use-only area. Surfers can go to three different spots, including the western edge of beach 1, the eastern part of beach 10, and by the lighthouse (just south of beach 11). Guests may also consider reserving a boat tour for a scenic tour of Lake Erie.
