Go rock climbing in the Sonoran Desert.
Pinnacle Peak Park is located in Scottsdale, Arizona. Visitors often hike to the top of this peak and take in the magnificent views of the valley. Rock climbing is another recreational activity available here. The wildflowers and wildlife that call this park home are quite a sight, so take as many pictures as you like. Be aware of your surroundings and remain on the trail; rattlesnakes frequent the area. Be mindful of the heat and plan your hike during the cooler months or early in the morning to avoid overexerting yourself.
The hiking trail is not a loop, but rather an out-and-back trail that totals almost two miles (one-way). Pinnacle Peak's highest point is 2,889 feet. Other amenities at this park include shaded picnic tables, a trailhead office, restrooms, drinking fountains, and interpretive displays along the trails. There are no other facilities along the trail, so wear good hiking shoes and bring plenty of water. If you're looking for a neat hike in Scottsdale, head to Pinnacle Peak Park.
