The Xeriscape Garden is at Chaparral Park in Scottsdale, Arizona. They provide ideas to visitors on creating stunning landscapes using low water plants. The garden has a buried 5.5 million gallon reservoir and is close to the Chaparral Water Treatment Plant. There are over 7,000 plants and 200 different species to see here. Visitors can walk about 2 miles and enjoy the tranquility of the area. The garden is open to strollers, wheelchairs, and leashed dogs. In fact, there is a great dog park nearby Xeriscape Garden.
This beautiful garden is well laid out and has some interesting uses of fieldstone in the building architecture and the small walls in the garden. It is also a National Wildlife Federation Certified Wildlife Habitat. Be sure to check out the Water Harvest Basin. This garden is beautiful anytime, but the garden is in full bloom in the spring.
