Pekin Riverfront Park

This park offers plenty of space to relax and enjoy the Illinois River waterfront.

Located along the route of the Illinois River Road and in the charming town of Pekin, Pekin Riverfront Park makes for a great place to set up a picnic, enjoy the waterfront views of the Illinois River, and spot winter eagles. Each year in January, an event known as the Eagle Census Festival is held just across the street from here!

There are shaded areas, a gazebo, benches, and plenty of grassy spaces for all to spend a relaxing afternoon or evening at this lovely local and public park. If you’re taking part in a road trip along the Illinois River Road, this park makes an excellent stop to stretch your legs, get some fresh air, and see some beautiful views!
