Patagonia Lake State Park is a hidden treasure in southeastern Arizona. This park was established in 1975, and it features shady picnic areas, tables, grills, a creek trail, boating, boat ramps, and a marina. The park also has a campground, a beach, and plenty of opportunities to view wildlife such as great blue herons, whitetail deer, and various birds. Groups and families often come for fishing, water skiing, and hiking at Patagonia Lake State Park.
Anglers can try their hand at catching crappie, bass, bluegill, and catfish. Between October and March, lake trout are in abundance. The creek trail is a nice place to take a walk and view birds. Bird enthusiasts should watch for canyon towhees, Inca doves, vermilion flycatchers, hummingbirds, and more. The park encompasses 250-acres and is 2.5-miles long. Visitors can also reserve a guided birding walk or boat tours and enjoy myriad outdoor recreation during their stay. Enjoy the mild weather and have a blast at Patagonia Lake State Park any time of the year.
