Catalina State Park is minutes from Tucson, Arizona, and sits at the base of the Santa Catalina Mountains. The park is a full of desert plants, wildlife, and nearly 5,000 saguaros. Bring your camera and hiking boots and journey the thousands of acres of foothills, canyons, and streams. Visitors can also enjoy camping, picnicking, hiking, and bird watching. The park is home to over 150 bird species and features miles of equestrian, hiking, and biking trails.
Park grounds are open year-round from 5 am to 10 pm and the visitor center is open daily from 8 am to 5 pm. Entrance fees are $7 per vehicle. Consider staying overnight at one of their campsites. They have 120 RV sites with water and electricity hookups and the campgrounds are open year-round. Look no further for an outdoor adventure in southern Arizona, Catalina State Park is an excellent choice for a camping trip or day hike.
