The DeGrazia Gallery in the Sun and Museum encompasses 10 acres. This art gallery has many colorful DeGrazia originals, such as watercolors, ceramics, oil paintings, and sculptures constructed by him. The gallery and museum are open daily from 10 am to 4 pm. This is an adobe gallery with rotating exhibits plus murals, a cactus courtyard, a chapel, the artist's home, and his grave. The DeGrazia Gallery in the Sun is on the National Register of Historic Places and was established in 1950. Southwestern-style art and architecture were designed and built by the acclaimed Arizona artist himself.
Ted DeGrazia (1909 - 1982) was a very talented artist and is known for his colorful images of Native American children of the Southwest and other Western scenes. Located in Tucson, Arizona, this gallery and museum can be visited year-round, but always bring plenty of water with you while visiting in the summer. The main gallery has air-conditioning and heating; however, the chapel, little gallery, and the first house are not air-conditioned or heated.
