Observe various aquatic creatures at the Oklahoma Aquarium.
Oklahoma Aquarium is located south of Tulsa, overlooking the Arkansas River. All exhibits are on one floor, and the aquarium is ADA accessible. Exhibits include the shark adventure, Ozark stream, Polynesian reef, sea turtle island, amazing invertebrates, and more. They also feature native wildlife from Oklahoma, such as alligators, water snakes, alligator snapping turtles, catfish, largemouth bass, leopard frogs, and eastern tiger salamanders.
Regular hours are Wednesday through Monday from 10 am to 6 pm, and Tuesday from 10 am to 9 pm. Oklahoma Aquarium is open daily except on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Admission rates range from about $15 to $20 per person, and children ages 0 to 2 are free. An outdoor playground is located on the back lawn, an excellent place for kids to get their energy out. The aquarium hosts an annual gingerbread house contest every year and a "Santa by the Sea" event during the holiday season. If you want to see and learn about aquatic creatures, be sure to stop by the Oklahoma Aquarium.
