Visit Oklahoma's Osage Hills and explore this unique museum and wildlife preserve.
The Woolaroc Museum & Wildlife Preserve is located in northeastern Oklahoma. Its name comes from three words put together: woods, lakes, and rocks, which are abundant in the Osage Hills. This place was originally used as a ranch retreat and features a 3,700-acre wildlife preserve, a Neo-Classical-style home, and an impressive western-themed art museum. Some of the wildlife you may see include bison, longhorn cattle, elk, llamas, ostriches, pigmy goats, and more. Guests can take the two-mile drive to see the animals as they roam around the preserve. Please stay in your car and do not attempt to pet or feed the wildlife during your visit.
Regular hours are Wednesday through Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm, but during the summer (Memorial Day through Labor Day), it is also open on Tuesdays. This attraction also allows guests to bring their well-behaved leashed dogs on the grounds and inside the museum. General admission is $14 for adults, $12 for seniors, $10 for active military, and free for children ages 0 to 12. If you're touring Oklahoma, Woolaroc is a neat attraction to add to your itinerary.
