Arbor Day Farm, located in Nebraska City, is an outdoor natural wonderland made up of 260-acres of trees. Guests can climb a 50-foot treehouse with a connecting netted bridge walkway to a treehouse village made up of 11 different treehouses. You can learn more about the trees with an experienced tour guide and see woodland creatures along the way. Explore the south table creek trails, which have interactive exhibits, sensory experiences, and scenic vistas. Guests can learn all about the origin of the Arbor Day holiday and be inspired to plant trees in your own backyard. Visitors can receive a free tree seed when visiting the Lied Greenhouse.
This is an ideal place to make memories with family and friends. Guests are welcome to stay at the newly renovated hotel, which is located on site. Arbor Lodge has wide-open conference rooms that can accommodate large groups. You may rent an on site pavilion or rent the lodge for events, as Arbor Farm makes for a romantic wedding venue. Other attractions here include a 52-room mansion, which features historical artifacts dating back to 1872. Be sure to walk the Italian terrace garden and smell the sweet scent of 200 different lilac varieties. Walking trails lead to nearby original log cabins and historic barns.
Arbor Day Farm is open year-round, though seasonal hours may vary. The park is open from 10 am to 5 pm, but Sunday hours are from 11 am to 5 pm. If you visit in the spring, you can see the bees and blossom tour. The fall season brings an annual apple harvest event. Come to the park and see if you can spot the hidden gnomes among the trees. All visitors will need to reserve tickets online one-week before visiting, and all-day passes are available. Stop by the Apple House Market to purchase toys, t-shirts, and more. Arbor Day Farm does allow dogs; however, only well-trained leashed pets are allowed on the grounds. Arbor Day Farm is a place to have some exceptional fun with family and friends.
