Come and take either a guided or self-guided tour of this historic park. Guided tours require reservations to be made at least 3 days in advance. There are several signs on the park's perimeter that tell about the Battle of New Bern and allow you to understand the significance of this battlefield. You will be able to walk exactly where Civil War soldiers once walked and see the grounds, which have been kept in excellent condition.
Over 30 acres of space has been preserved to help keep a part of history alive and allow visitors to gain deeper insight into the American Civil War. Take a look inside the visitor center to discover even more details about the New Bern battle, which occurred on March 14, 1862. The battlefield is open to the public year-round during daylight hours.
