See the development of the United States military from 1775 to now.
Open since 1923; this is an outstanding museum that covers 200 years of history about the American military. The outside park is full of tanks and other large equipment with signage. It is expansive and gives a great scope of the size and power of a tank. Inside, there are outstanding collections of personal artifacts, weapons, vehicles, uniforms, and posters to see. The guns and knife collections are impressive, with rifles and pistols galore. They have a jeep that is perfect for a nice photo opportunity.
Guests who come here will also see part of the Berlin Wall and some of the outer wall from Dachau Concentration Camp. Exhibits include Marches Toward Freedom, Visions of War, Women at War, and so much more. Adults: $8, Children $6. The museum offers many educational programs such as the American Revolution, Civil War Soldier's Life, The Holocaust, and more, including custom programs covering any aspect of military history. Its hours are 9 am - 4 pm, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
