Colonial Williamsburg is one of the most well known historical sites to visit in Virginia. This site is considered a living history museum, which is exclusively outdoors. Colonial Williamsburg has most of its original buildings, and the workers participate in the roles that people did back in its heyday.
There is so much to see within Colonial Williamsburg. The cost for single-day admission is $30.99 for adults (ages 13 and up) and $14.99 for kids ages 6-12. There are tours of the capitol, the courthouse, the governor's palace, and other historical buildings for those interested in historical places. There are other things to see, such as the trade shops, including the blacksmith, weaver, and tin maker. There are even military activities to participate in at the armory.
Life at Colonial Williamsburg was not the same for all the people who lived there. In addition to seeing some of the incredible sights, you can also see what it was like to be an African American during that time. You can take in their experiences firsthand and see how they lived.
