Check out one of the biggest aquariums in the U.S.
Baltimore, Maryland, is home to the National Aquarium. Not only does the aquarium showcase marine life, but it also exhibits different ecosystems from Australia and the Amazon rainforest. The National Aquarium houses over 20,000 animals and is one of the top ten aquariums in the United States. The National Aquarium has 13 different exhibits to explore, and one of the most highlighted exhibits is the Amazon River. Here, you will notice that the exhibit is split into three areas highlighting different rainforest seasons, including the dry season, the rainy season, and the flooding season. You will see various ecosystems in Maryland and other parts of the world during your visit.
Hours are Sunday through Thursday from 9 AM to 5 PM and Friday through Saturday from 9 AM to 8 PM. Admission rates are $39.95 for adults (ages 12-64), $29.95 for children (ages 3-11), and $34.95 for seniors (ages 65 and older). While the aquarium showcases all these species, they also aim to restore, enhance, and protect the animals. There is so much more to learn at the National Aquarium, and it is fun for all ages.
