Come to one of the largest avian conservation centers in the U.S.
Since the 1980s, the founders have been dedicated to breeding and preserving endangered waterfowl and opened the Sylvan Heights Bird Park in 2006. Visitors who come will get to see over 2,000 birds from around the world, including ducks, flamingos, owls, finches, swans, parrots, cranes, and more. The park has the world's largest collection of large and endangered waterfowl! This walkthrough park can give you an up-close look at exotic birds from 5 different continents. Be sure to stop by the Landing Zone exhibit for a fun and one-of-a-kind experience where you can feed parakeets and flamingos.
This park is ADA accessible and even has an area where you can observe the native wildlife living in the wetlands. It is a non-profit organization that welcomes donations and uses money from admission and the gift shop to continue its conservation efforts. This amazing aviary park is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9 am to 4 pm. The park is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day but is open on Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Easter Monday. This is a great park where you can bird watch for as long as you want and learn about so many fascinating species from all over the world. Aside from the Visitor Center, the park is all outdoors and guided tours are available by reservation. Many people spend at least 2 hours to get the full experience at the bird park. The Sylvan Heights Bird Park does incredible conservation work and is the place to come if you're intrigued by different species or just want to do something extra fun with your day!
