Discover the world of trains in a fun and educational way.
Youth and adults will enjoy exploring this train museum which features displays of model trains, a 100-year old steam locomotive, and a life-size caboose. You will learn the history of the Atlantic Coast Line railroad system and about the legend of Joe Baldwin. The architect who built the Atlantic Coast Line building in 1887 was William Powell. This historical building is now home to the museum.
Groups of 10 or more can get discounted tickets and take a guided or self-guided tour inside the museum. Expect to take about an hour to explore everything. They are open Monday through Saturday with limited hours on Sundays and are closed on the following holidays: New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
