Visit an Old West heritage museum with exhibits showing a wide range of cowboy, Native American, and military artifacts.
The Nelson Museum of the West is an 18,000 square foot facility full of temporary and permanent exhibits to see. It is dedicated to the preservation of fine Cowboy and Native American objects, along with Western art. They have over 6,000 artifacts on display with three floors. You can listen to an audio tour from your phone to help guide you through the highest quality examples of all things Western. Visitors will see outlaw memorabilia, 19th-century weapons, and so much more. The museum is entirely handicap accessible. Keep in mind that the museum is open seasonally from May to October and is closed for the winter.
