This unique amusement park is geared towards children with special needs and those with disabled family members.
Morgan Wonderland was inspired by Mogan Heartman, an inspirational individual who has cognitive and physical challenges. The park is the first of its kind to offer an amusement park specifically designed for wheelchair access. Located in San Antonio, Texas, park admission is free for those with special needs. However, the park does need to meet a financial quota each year and depends on guest honesty. Admission does not require proof of disability, but visitors are encouraged to use their best judgment when asking for free admission. Those with down syndrome, deafness, blindness, cerebral palsy, and long-term physical and cognitive disabilities are welcome. However, those with medical conditions including diabetes, blood pressure issues, and mental health do not qualify for free admission. Visitors have the option to purchase dual admission, which includes the water park and rides. Twilight admission is for water park only, and they also offer general admission. When the park reaches full capacity, it may not allow additional entries. Tickets can be purchased online or in-person and are good for up to a year. The park does not accept reservations.
Rides and attractions include a sensory village, whirling wonders, train rides, carousel, music garden, starlight amphitheater, picnic area, food vendors, and more. The rides are accessible for wheelchairs. Morgan Wonderland is truly a wonderland. The Wonder Squad are themed characters that portray the abilities of all regardless of their physical abilities. The environment of this park is family-friendly and very enjoyable for all.
