Cool off in these incredible spring-fed pools.
Krause Springs is a premier camping and swimming destination located in Spicewood, Texas, approximately 30 miles west of Austin. The 115-acre property is on the National Registry of Historic Sites and has been privately owned by the Krause family for over 50 years. Krause Springs has many natural sites to explore, and the water constantly flows, keeping it at a cool 68 degrees Fahrenheit.
There are 32 springs on the property, many of which feed into the natural pools and Lake Travis. Take a dip in these refreshing swimming holes to cool off during the summer months. If you enjoy camping, you can extend your visit and stay at one of their primitive tent campsites or choose from 24 RV sites. You are also welcome to relax and stroll through the Butterfly Gardens. Krause Springs is open from 9 am to 8 pm from about mid-February through October.
