Swim in this breathtaking natural spring located West of Austin, Texas.
Formed over thousands of years due to water erosion, Hamilton Pool offers a secluded spot for visitors to take a swim. Swimming is available all year long but may not be guaranteed due to bacteria levels in the spring and any recent rainfall. Some life vests are available; however, it is recommended that you bring your own with you. No lifeguard is on duty, so visitors swim at their own risk. A 1/4 of a mile hiking trail leads to the pool, and it is quite narrow and steep, so it is not ADA accessible.
This is not a pet-friendly place, so please leave your furry friends at home when you come and visit Hamilton Pool. Camping and cooking are also prohibited here, but you are welcome to bring drinking water and snacks with you. Online reservation fees are required per vehicle and tickets can only be paid in cash once you arrive. A maximum of 8 people per vehicle is allowed. Admission is free for children 12 and under, $8 per adult, and $3 for senior citizens age 62 and older. This is a neat swimming area surrounded by limestone, trees, rare plant species, and native birds.
