San Antonio's Botanical Garden features over 30-acres of land and has several different gardens to see. Enter the Lucile Halsell Conservatory to see tropical plants that you would find in a rainforest. Walk around the Texas native trails to see over 250 plant species native to different parts of the state. Children and adults will enjoy the family adventure garden, which has a maze, creekbed, pecan grove, and more.
If you want to take a guided tour, docents can lead you around and answer questions along the way. Guided tours take about an hour to an hour and a half. Good walking shoes, sunscreen, and a water bottle are highly recommended for everyone planning to visit this attraction. On-site parking is limited, especially on the weekends and holidays. Hours vary depending on the season, but it is open daily except for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
