This library and research center contains historical documents, books, photography, and local resources for genealogical records.
The Missouri Historical Society manages the Missouri Library and Research Center. It is located just west of the St. Louis zoo and is open by appointment only Tuesday through Friday from 12 pm to 5 pm. On Saturdays, it is open from 10 am to 5 pm. Admission to the library and research center is free. In-person assistance and online consultation are available for all guests. The library and research center contains over 200,00 digital resources, over 1 million photographs, 175,000 artifacts, 100,000 library volumes, and 7,900 documents. This is a great resource for genealogy records or any in-depth records of the city, state, and surrounding areas.
The Libary Research center is in the former United Hebrew Congregational Synagogue. This location provides a safe place to preserve all the delicate historical records on file.
