Explore the second-largest city park in St. Louis.
Tower Grove Park is located in southwestern St. Louis, off of Interstate 44. Henry Shaw donated the land as a gift to the city in 1868 and said that it "shall be used as a park forever." Several statues and historical pavilions/buildings are located within the park. Feel free to check out the memorial garden, plant house, old comfort station, and outdoor tennis center while you're here. The tennis center offers tennis and pickleball courts that are available to the public.
You can enter the park from either Magnolia Ave, Grand Blvd, Arsenal St, or Kingshighway Blvd. A 3-mile loop encircles the park, making it an excellent place for people to run, walk, or jog. Visitors are welcome to bring leashed dogs but must pick up after their pets to maintain the cleanliness of the area. There are plenty of grassy areas to play frisbee or soccer, and the park is open daily from sunrise to sunset.
