This zoo is involved in numerous global conservation efforts and has several impressive exhibits with nearly 1,800 animals from all over the world.
The Milwaukee County Zoo is the perfect place to explore all kinds of intriguing wildlife species during a beautiful day with the whole family. With around 1,800 animals within its 190 acres, this zoo has so much to see and do. Some of the animals here include caribou, lemurs, snow leopards, penguins, seals, giraffes, otters, and cheetahs. The Milwaukee County Zoo is dedicated to providing the highest quality care to their animals as well as to numerous global conservation efforts like the Turtle Survival Alliance, the Snow Leopard Trust, and Orangutan Outreach.
Other activities to enjoy at the Milwaukee County Zoo include the Gorilla Trek VR Experience, animal encounters, theater shows, the carousel and safari train, pony rides, and ropes courses! There’s an array of dining options within the zoo in case hunger strikes as well as a gift shop where you can pick up fun souvenirs to remember your wonderful day here. The zoo is open from 9:30 until 2:30 on weekdays and from 9:30 until 4:30 on weekends.
