Learn, play, and explore at this 47-acre Wisconsin botanical garden.
Enter the enchanting world that is the Green Bay Botanical Garden and marvel at the 47 acres of manicured gardens, charming buildings that look straight out of a fairytale, and of course tens of thousands of beautiful blooms that change with the seasons. The gardens opened in 1996 and their mission is to connect visitors with the natural world and provide fun and educational experiences all year long.
The Green Bay Botanical Garden has a variety of gardens including but not limited to rose, herb, conifer, and magnolia gardens as well as woodland areas and water features. During the warmer months, visitors can grab a seat at the Billie Kress Amphitheater and watch remarkable performances while surrounded by masses of colorful plants. Once the holiday season arrives the garden transforms into a winter wonderland for the WPS Garden of Lights event that features over 350,000 lights spread across the 40 themed displays.
It’s easy to get little ones engaged at the gardens with designated play areas and activities like scavenger hunts, hikes, and story times. The Green Bay Botanical Garden truly goes all out when it comes to educating and inspiring all to appreciate the world around us and to integrate green practices into our daily lives. Whether you're passionate about horticulture, visiting the area for the first time and looking for a great outdoor pastime, or a family looking for a fun day out, the Green Bay Botanical Garden is a colorful escape no matter the time of year.
