Homestead Resort continues to provide its guests with lovely welcoming hospitality and a traditional charm for more than 125 years now. This resort started with the discovery of a natural hot spring crater, and it opened in 1891. The Homestead Resort included the hot spring pool and a two-story brick hotel, Fanny's restaurant, which were all created to accommodate guests. This historical resort provides a variety of awesome accommodations, activities, host events, onsite dining, and shopping
Accommodations here include guest rooms, suites, and condos which are all connected with a peaceful patio or deck. All rooms come with a view of the beautiful country of Midway, the golf course, and gardens. The resort also provides pet-friendly options. On-site activities include golf, the Homestead Crater, an outdoor and indoor pool, and hot tubs with freshly pumped water from the tranquil natural hot spring.
The resort is equipped to host a variety of events that include weddings, business meetings, conferences, and more. Homestead Resort can provide conference rooms for large companies or rooms for any smaller business gatherings. The resort also hosts seasonal events, one of which is an ice castle, and other events that include golf tournaments, golf lessons, and snowshoeing.
The Homestead Resort offers delicious dining, including some original recipes from the Schneiter family. The on-site dining can provide catering for all events and event sizes. All food is prepared with fresh local ingredients, and they offer a gluten-free menu, as well. The menu consists of traditional comfort food as well as more modern dishes. The restaurant is open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 4 pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays the hours are 8 am to 4 pm.
The resort also provides an on-site boutique located next to the numerous event rooms. The resort check-in is at 4 pm and checks out is at 11 am, and reservations can be canceled up to 48-hour in advance, and late cancelations will be charged the room rate with taxes and fees. It is important to note that visitation to the Homestead Crater does require a separate reservation.
