Visit one of Utah's newest state parks.
Echo State Park features a reservoir that is ideal for boating or fishing. The dam holds over 1,000 acres of water and was constructed by the Bureau of Reclamation during the Great Depression. In 1961, the reservoir was managed by the locals of Coalville, Utah. Since 2017, Utah State Parks has taken over and manages the recreational operations here. New construction is currently in progress, including new restrooms and camping sites.
This premier state park is located in Northeastern Utah, off Interstate 80. The park is open daily from 6 am to 10 pm. This is a perfect location providing fun outdoor recreational activities such as boating, fishing, watersports, and camping. Guests are welcome to rent paddleboards, kayaks, and canoes during their visit. Please note that rentals are available seasonally from Memorial Day through Labor Day. If you need a place to camp in northeastern Utah, look no further than Echo State Park.
