Enjoy 35 miles of fun on the water at Herrington Lake.
Herrington Lake is only 30 minutes away from Lexington, Kentucky. The Herrington Lake Marina is a fun place to visit. They have 135 slips, a boat launch, a picnic area, rentals (fishing boat, Pontoon boats), beautiful water, and surroundings. Fish that you can find in the lake include crappie, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, catfish, perch, bluegill, and more.
The "Floatels" are fun (a floatel is a floating hotel cabin). There are five floatels available for rent, and they all have 2 full beds, a table, 4 chairs, a refrigerator, and satellite TV. These are only 100 feet from the showers, restrooms, and restaurant. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating and serves great food. Visitors can enjoy live music and karaoke on the weekends. The marina is open daily. You can stop by the general store at these hours: Sunday from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday - Wednesday from 9 am to 6 pm, Thursday from 9 am to 7 pm, Friday from 9 am to 9 pm, and Saturday from 9 am to 10 pm. Beat the summer heat at this gorgeous lake.
