Check out this intriguing dollhouse museum in Kentucky.
The Great American Dollhouse Museum is located in Danville, Kentucky, inside a building once used as a National Guard armory in 1939. Owner Lori Kagan-Moore envisioned a place that would be educational and entertaining, and she certainly did that. Each display is intricate and specializes in United States social history. There is much to see in every room, dollhouse, and model neighborhood. The displays reach up to a few feet tall and are set behind clear barriers.
Lori collected antique miniatures since she was a child and was excited to share her collections. This museum has been open since 2008 and offers fun for everyone. Kids and adults alike will enjoy the optional scavenger hunt during their time inside the museum. This scavenger hunt offers a great way to look closer and study each scene to find the items on the list. Plenty of parking is available for guests, and the museum is ADA accessible. Stop by the gift shop for crafting supplies, antique miniatures, dollhouse supplies, dollhouse furniture, and dollhouse structures. The Great American Dollhouse Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 am to 5 pm. Come and see what it's all about the next time you're in Kentucky.
