The Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum, located in Hatteras, North Carolina, is an establishment dedicated to educating the public about the maritime history of this region of the US and the many shipwrecks that have occurred on this coast. Due to the currents that form off the coast of the Outer Banks, a shocking number of shipwrecks have happened in the waters close to where this museum is located. The museum is open from Monday to Saturday between the hours of 10 and 4, and it is closed on Sundays. Admission is free to all guests, but donations are welcome and greatly appreciated.
