Come here for summer fun on the Tennessee River.
Ditto Landing is located south of Huntsville, Alabama, near the Tennesse River. This place is named after James Ditto, who set up a trading post in the 1800s. Ditto Landing was one of the first inland ports of entry in the United States and was the heartbeat of economic activity for Huntsville during the mid-1800s. Today, it is a popular recreational space featuring an RV campground (with electricity hookups) and reservable pavilions that are perfect for large gatherings such as family reunions.
Boats large and small can access the river during the day. Please note that for safety reasons, swimming is not allowed along the harbor of Ditto Landing. Anglers can expect to catch either bass, bream, or catfish along the river. You must have a current Alabama fishing license to fish at Ditto Landing. With 17 acres of outdoor space and plenty of open fields, there is much to see and do here. Stop by Ditto Landing the next time you're in northern Alabama.
