Located right off of Interstate 70, Colorado National Monument has so much to offer everyone who visits. Many tourists enjoy mountain biking and freestyle rock climbing here. There is also an annual marathon held in town if you want to participate in a race. Take your camera with you as you drive along Rim Rock Drive, which includes 19 different viewpoints along the way.
Don't hesitate to take the “Tour Of The Moon,” which reaches a 2,300 elevation gain, and check out the unique hiking trails. Popular sights include Canyon Rim Trail and Devil's Kitchen Trail if you are a less experienced hiker. Longer and more strenuous hikes include Monument Canyon or Serpent's Trail. The Saddlehorn visitor center will tell you all about the area and has a small theater and a gift shop. Come and have an adventure in the heart of Western Colorado.
