Visit one of southern Utah's majestic geologic wonders.
Dead Horse Point State Park is located near Moab, Utah, and has a majestic canyon landscape formed by erosion and carved by the Colorado River. The extreme desert conditions of the area make it challenging for wildlife to survive. Come prepared with plenty of water, sunscreen, snacks, and supplies if you plan to camp here. The sunrises, sunsets, and night skies at Dead Horse Point are spectacular, so bring your camera to capture the views during your visit. Popular outdoor activities you can do at the park include hiking, mountain biking, camping, and astrophotography.
Anyone that wants to visit southern Utah should not overlook Dead Horse Point State Park. It has incredible views of the red rock canyon landscape. Please note that cell reception is pretty spotty here, so be careful and do not travel here alone. This park is open year-round from 6 am to 10 pm and the visitor center is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm. If you're exploring the southwestern United States, be sure to stop by Dead Horse Point State Park.
