Visit one of the most photographed places in North America.
Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park is located on the Arizona-Utah border. It is known for its stunning landscape and is one of the most photographed places in North America. You will see red rock mesas, buttes, and pinnacles, accessible via the 17-mile loop (Valley Drive). The masterpieces tower over the red-sand valley at heights of 400 to 1,000 feet. Don't miss the Mittens Buttes, which can be seen from the road or overlooks like John Ford's Point.
The Wildcat Trail is the only self-guided trail in the park. From here, you can see Mitten Buttes up close and explore the Merrick Trail. Please note that there is a $20 entry fee. Monument Valley also has a restaurant, campgrounds, cabins, and a hotel if you want to stay overnight. Anyone driving through southeastern Utah should spend some time in Monument Valley; it is truly awe-inspiring and picturesque.
