Woodland Park Zoo is located southwest of Green Lake in Seattle, Washington. It has 11 different exhibits, including animals from Africa, Asia, North America, and more. You will get to see zebras, lions, grizzly bears, penguins, giraffes, river otters, jaguars, lemurs, rhinos, and various other wild animals as you explore the zoo. There is also a butterfly garden with hundreds of free-flying butterflies that may come and land on you. Common butterflies include monarchs, painted ladies, red admirals, and various swallowtails.
This zoo is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9:30 am to 3 pm and Monday from 9:30 am to 4 pm. The Wildlife Theater has bird shows featuring owls, falcons, and hawks. This outdoor theater is located behind the Australasia exhibit on the east side of the zoo. If you are looking for a family-friendly attraction in Seattle, don't hesitate to see Woodland Park Zoo.
