A large museum featuring iconic vehicles throughout the ages.
The Volo Museum contains mechanical treasures from across the ages. It is thirty-five acres and contains thirty-nine different attractions. Vehicles include anything from farm equipment to everyday transport and joy rides can be found here. Some of these include sports cars, tractors, pedal cars, boats, trains, planes, snowmobiles, scooters, motorcycles, and bicycles. There are 400 cars alone. The History Channel focuses on the museum, called “Volo, House of Cars.”
Though the museum is known for vehicle advancements, a multitude of inventions are on display, including musical instruments, kiddie rides, vintage arcade machines, and animatronics. Galleries include military memorials, the Duesenberg Museum, and tributes to the Disney and Warner Bros companies. Famous television and movie cars include Herbie, the Batmobile, the Mystery Machine, the Ghostbusters Cadillac, and the Flintmobile. Other famous vehicles featured in the museum are from the Fast & Furious series, James Bond, Back to the Future, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, and many more. There are also parade cars that include Disney-themed characters and decorations. More intense galleries include the history of crime and punishment. Some exhibits are simply displayed, while others are hands-on experiences. Children are invited to ride vehicles and, coming soon, a historic carousel.
A car lot is included for purchases of many vintage and new cars, with restaurants to keep guests fed while exploring the extensive collection. Monster truck rides became available in 2020 and the “Jurassic Gardens” will be introduced in May 2021 as an additional attraction. Field trips, community events, and tours are offered year-round.
