The Museum of Modern Art

The Museum of Modern Art is located in New York City. It has played a major role in developing and collecting works of modern art since its founding in 1929 and is one of the largest and most influential art museums in the world. The museum includes architecture, drawings, paintings, sculpture, photography, prints, books, film, and electronic media. Its library holds approximately 300,000 books, over 1,000 periodicals, and over 40,000 files about individual artists. The archives are filled with primary sources related to the history of modern and contemporary art and feature an ongoing variety of performances and films.

There are three different store locations in New York City. Merchandise can be purchased online as well. There are two locations of The Museum of Modern Art. One is in Midtown Manhattan, and the other is in Queens. The museum is open every day of the week from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm. Admission to all galleries and special exhibitions is $25 for adults, $18 for seniors, $14 for full-time students with ID, and free for ages 16 and under.
