Gantry Plaza State Park

Enjoy sights of midtown Manhattan at this urban state park.

The Gantry Plaza State Park is located on the banks of the East River, across the river from the Chrysler Building near Queens, New York. This 12-acre walkable park has scenic views of midtown Manhattan along the four piers by the river. You can also stroll in the gardens or sit at the gantries during the day. Gantry Plaza often has outdoor concerts in the spring and summer months. Other activities to do here include fishing on the pier, playing at the basketball courts, or enjoying a game of handball with friends. Please note that leashed dogs are prohibited in the grassy areas, gardens, and piers, but you are welcome to walk your dog on the paved paths.
