Take a guided tour of the iconic Rockefeller Center.
The Rockefeller Center is one of the most popular tourist attractions in New York City and is essentially a city within a city. This center spans over 22 acres of land and features amazing architecture and artwork such as statues and murals. There are several free public events hosted throughout the year, including lighting the giant Christmas tree, music events, and more. In the winter, don’t miss out on the iconic skating rink, which has been featured in several different movies throughout the years.
Take a look at the center’s most significant buildings, gardens, and spaces during the 1 hour and 15 minute guided walking tour. A maximum of 3 groups (up to 20 people each) is allowed per tour. Tour times are limited, so check out their website for more information. This tour does not include visits to the Top of the Rock observation deck, NBC Studios, or Radio City Music Hall and is geared towards adults. However, children and strollers are allowed on tour. Headsets are provided so that everyone can hear the tour guide clearly.
There is so much to explore in New York, but the Rockefeller Center should definitely be on your sightseeing bucket list. Times Square is just West of the Center, and there are other nearby attractions to visit such as Central Park Zoo and the Empire State Building.
